Yendar had followed the map to exactely where it ended at. As he scanned over the desert horizon he saw nothing. He threw the map down cussing the waste of time but as he turned around he noticed a shadow under a rock. He went over for a closer look, and saw that the shadow was actually a hole that looked to open up into a cavern below. There was a mysterious glow in the cavern but Yendar couldn't see what was it's source. Curiousity got the better of him and he climbed through the hole and dropped down to the cavern floor. He was amazed by what he saw, a ancient city made entirely of gold. It was actually real! Before Yendar took a step towards it a short little man that resembled a samurai stepped forward out behind a golden building at the entrance of the city. Torchiro: Hello, my name is Torchiro. I am the guardian of this ancient city. What might your name be stranger? Yendar: Hello Torchiro, my name is Yendar. I received a map from a stranger and followed its directions out of curiosity. Well that and I had nothing better to do. Torchiro: Welcome Yendar. I am able to take you on a tour and tell you of the people that built this city and the cities history. I am afraid however you may take nothing and tell no one of anything you see or hear here today. Yendar thought for a minute and shrugged his shoulders. He was honestly alright with the strange little man's offer. He knew that one day he would be off this planet and be wealthy beyound his wildest dreams with or without the city. Torchiro seemed nice enough. So Yendar started walking towards Torchiro. Yendar: I agree with your terms Torchiro. Tell me about this wonderful place and of its past. The two walked all about the city and Yendar listened to all of Torchiro's stories. Once Yendar had heard all that Torchiro had to say he shook the little man's hand to bid him farewell. Yendar then climbed up and out of the cavern the way he had come in and went about his business. | |
