The RPG

This was the best day of Yendar's life. He had been promoted to Sergeant in the Gun Frontier and had just finished all the ceremonial crap he had to deal with, he wanted to go out and have a drink to celebrate and his platoon sergeant had offered to take him out to a bar where Count Mecha's wife was playing tonight. Yendar and his platoon sergeant went to the bar and took a seat at the table right in front of the stage. The Count's wife was proped up on a stool playing a gentle melody that soothed the soul. Yendar relaxed and enjoyed a evening of drinking and swaping stories with his platoon seargeant while the joyful melodies saturated the night.

Platoon Sergeant: You do know that you have a military cruiser voucher waiting on you back at the barracks dont you?

Yendar: No way! I forgot that came along with the promotion. You have any tips on which vessel would be a well rounded first ship?

Platoon Sergeant: I'm partial to the Skylancer model Heavy Cruiser. Fast and can fight too.

Yendar: Wanna go check out a few models before we turn in tonight?

Platoon Sergeant: Sure let's go, the Count's wife is about to leave also.

Yendar and his platoon sergeant left the bar and spent the rest of the night "ship shopping". Once he had decided on a model that he was going to buy, he returned to base as the sun was rising.

Yendar: Alright, lets go get that voucher and get off this desert rock.
